About ChartSetupLab
ChartSetupLab publishes plain-English guides to TradingView: which plan you actually need, how to set up charts and alerts, and how the built-in tools work. The goal is simple: help you get the setup right and pay only for what you use.
Who writes the guides
The guides are written and checked by Jackson, who runs ChartSetupLab. Every guide shows the date it was last updated.
How we research
- Official pages first. Plan prices and limits come from TradingView's pricing page, and alert and webhook behaviour from the TradingView Help Center. Each guide says when it was last checked.
- Unconfirmed claims are labelled. When something only appears in third-party sources, we say so instead of presenting it as fact.
- Quarterly price checks. TradingView changes prices and limits from time to time. We recheck them every quarter and update the "Updated" date.
- The free plan gets a fair hearing. We say when the free Basic plan is enough. A paid plan is only recommended when a limit genuinely holds you back.
How we make money
Some links on this site are referral links through the TradingView Partner Program. If you subscribe through one, we may earn a commission. It does not cost you extra. Referral links are always labelled. Read the full affiliate disclosure.
Independence

What we will never do
- Promise profits or show invented results.
- Tell you what to buy or sell.
- Present indicators as a strategy that works on its own.
